Mint Juleps, Horses and Big Hats: Kentucky Derby Senior Vacation
Have you ever wanted to enjoy the southern sun, while sipping on a delicious mint julep during one of the biggest sporting events of the year? The first race of the Triple Crown, The Kentucky Derby, is May 7th, with thousands flocking to Louisville to see the pack of three-year-old Thoroughbred horses run for two minutes in an oval.
A perfect vacation for seniors, the festivities last the full two weeks leading up to the event, with the largest fireworks display in North America, The Derby Marathon, and the Great Balloon Race.
